First time AT FUMC?

New to United Methodism? New to First Church? New to Manhattan? Look around and find out what it means to be a United Methodist at FUMC in Manhattan.

Sunday morning

FUMC offers two worship services. Our contemporary service is at 8:35 am and our traditional service is at 11:00 am. Both services are held in the Sanctuary of our main building at 612 Poyntz Ave. For more information on the services, see our Worship page.

Come as you are! Want to dress up? Go for it! Do you have holes in your jeans? That's good, too. No matter how you look, you are welcome and we look forward to meeting you.

Parking is available in the parking lot to the northwest of the building off Humbolt Street (one block north of Poyntz Ave.). Parking is also available in parking lots across 6th street to the East, the Via Christi Clinic (northeast of the church off Humbolt Street), and on the streets surrounding the church.

Sunday school for all ages is at 9:45 am in various buildings and rooms on the FUMC campus.

Child care is available for children 3 months-5 years during worship and 3 months-2 years during Sunday school. Children ages 3 and older are taken to Pre-K Sunday school. Child care and Pre-K Sunday school are on the first floor of the Education Center connected to the main church building.
